Fair Market Valuation Consulting

Typically, a fair market valuation is an appraisal conducted for a certain purpose. “Fair market valuation” is defined by the American Society of Appraisers (“ASA”) as…“the amount expressed in terms of money that may be reasonably be expected between a willing buyer and willing seller with equity to both fully aware of all relevant facts as of a specific date.” 

What makes the concept of a fair market value interesting is that different people define this term to mean a wide range of values. This is not surprising since many factors can play into creating a valuation including property location, age, size, market demand, condition, financing, and related factors.
